Back to the beach............

We spent yesterday at the beach. I just love being by the ocean ~ the sound of the waves breaking, my kids laughing, the gentle breeze blowing. It really soothes my soul.

Hell, even kiddie meltdowns seem more peaceful at the beach! Poor Mackenzie got too much sand in her suit, so when we went to change her, she FREAKED! She didn't want a pull up, or clothes. It wasn't until she saw the new swimmie diaper and new bathing suit that she stopped screaming! She's so smart to know that would mean she could continue playing in the sand and water.

Ryan and Kelsey spent the entire day in the water. They had so much fun. First they ran away from the waves, then they would sit where the waves were breaking. By the end of the day, they were body surfing.

I can't believe school starts in 3 weeks. This summer has just flown by. Too bad we couldn't spend every day at the beach.
