School started about 2 weeks ago, and we are finally getting back into the swing of things. Juggling different bus stops at different times has not always been easy! Soccer, Little League, and Mommy and Me have all started, and Gymnastics, Ryan's Saturday rec program, and Library Story Time start up soon too. Oh, and did I also mention that I work too?! YIKES! This week we have back to school nights at both Ryan and Kelsey's schools so we look forward to speaking with their teachers and hearing all about what they will be doing this year. Miss Mackie is adjusting well to being home alone with Mommy. Although now there is no one else but me here to entertain her, I do find that getting her down for a nap is much easier without the other 2 around.
Saturday night my Mom was kind enough to babysit so that Mark and I could have a night out. We drove into Manhattan to see Pat Monahan play.
For anyone who doesn't know, he's the lead singer of TRAIN, and he's releasing his first solo album tomorrow. I highly recommend you go out and buy it! Pat's a really cool guy, and even helped me surprise my friend Betsy. Go here http://bits-of-betsy.blogspot.com/ to see her reaction ~ it was priceless! Pat and his band rocked the house! His music, voice and lyrics are just amazing. We really had a great time. And for those of you who know me in real life.....it took every ounce of restraint I had NOT to go up there and grab a mike! I'm sure the people who came to hear Pat sing were grateful!
Thanks again Grammy for babysitting......You totally Rock too! :)
This video clip is Pat performing one of his new songs "Ripple in the Water". It's pretty dark, and blurs at times because my battery was dying, but the sound is still awesome. So turn up your speakers and enjoy! :)
