Mets Game....VIP Style, Baby!....

So, Memorial Day Monday, we were invited by my company to attend the NY Mets game at the new Citifield Stadium. But this was no ordinary invitation, my boss told me that my company had taken over a Citibank Premiere Empire Suite for the night! HOLY MOLY! Even though it was a paid day off from work, we were SO there! LOL

Since this was to be the kids first Mets game, I tried explaining to them that what they were about to experience would not be the norm for any future Mets games! ;)

We were the first to arrive and were greeted by our own private hostess/waitress after being shuttled thru the VIP entrance/elevator! The suite was incredible, complete with sofas, chairs, 3 flat screen tvs, a dining table with chairs and full granite, stainless kitchen! And oh yeah, it opened right up to field box seats directly behind home plate!

Here's a dark, but accurate view of the inside/outside of suite:

Since we got there early, and watched some of the batting practice, we decided to then go venture out and explore this beautiful new stadium ~ well, lookie who we met up with, why it was my old friend MR. MET!
(the truly amazing thing about that picture is that Mark is actually IN it with us! As a long time Yankee fan, I wasn't sure he would go for it, and I frisked him for weapons prior to posing! LOL j/k!)

Then it was back to our seats to enjoy the start of the game, here was the view from our suite seats:

Ryan, who has always been unsure of heights and/or open spaces decided he was not going to join us out in the box seats, so he instead decided to pull one of the suite chairs right up to the box seat line to enjoy the game, but yet watch it on one of the tvs in the suite!:

Meanwhile, Mackenzie and I (and Bob) were enjoying the great seats, view and leg room that the box seats had to offer (not to mention the food/drink ledge!):

As the game progressed and got more exciting, Ryan ventured out, little by little (with some coaxing by Kelsey, she's his biggest cheerleader)

until we were all finally able to sit together and enjoy a fantastic ball game!

The game then got really exciting when Sheffield hit a homerun and the kids got to see the apple in action! At that point, everyone was in a great mood and decided to pose for a group shot!

Even my Yankees lovin' hubby was enjoying this Mets game! ;)

The Mets ended up winning that night, and it was an incredible game. Before we left, Kelsey asked if we could live at the suite! I just laughed, and told her that sadly no, as much as we would like to, that just isn't possible.

As we left out the VIP gate, and got to our car parked in the VIP lot, I realized that this was surely a night to remember. I don't think we will ever be this spoiled again at a game, with private catering, waitress service and fine wine/beer served in actual glasses. And I don't even want to know how my kids will react next game we take them to where we are seated in the bleacher seats and have them eat dirty water dogs! LOL

We are so blessed to have opportunities to experience outings like this [it could be very easy to get used to]

I loved the pictures and how Sir Ryan ventured out [Kelsey is such a great big sister]

We are missing you guys something fierce.....we have to plan an outing. Emma Sage talks about Ryan all the time and wants to know when she can see him again.

Laughing about Mark and frisking him before he got that close to Mr. Met!!!

Love you guys!!!
