Cheeseburgers in paradise........

Well, we're back home now, and as wonderful as it was to be on vacation for 2 weeks, it's really wonderful to be back in our own beds. (although being back to work/school/routine daily life, etc. isn't as much fun)

It was such a lovely vacation. We really didn't do anything other than relax and have fun. Just being able to spend time together, doing nothing but enjoy each other, was such a gift. Now being home for only 2 days, I already see how we each get caught up in doing our own things. We'll really need to work on that.

The kids made amazing strides in their swimming ability. Ryan, who has never ventured off the steps of the pool, was not only swimming in the 3 foot section alone, but also by the last 2 days, allowed us to take him into the deep end. That was a huge step for him. He was so proud of himself! (as were we!)

We were all so excited that we had to make a swim parade in the pool!

Kelsey was swimming the entire length of the pool all by herself and joined me in the 10 ft. section. She was even jumping in all alone - she's our daredevil!


Miss Mackie was having a great time too, whether she was playing with her toys on the steps, or just lounging on our back while we swam her around the pool.


Each night I would make us all go out on the beach as the sun was setting so we could try to get a nice family picture. But, the only problem is, as the sun is setting in your eyes, it's hard to keep them open! And the wind at that time of day on the ocean would blow our hair into our faces! We have many various group shots. Here's one attempt ~

We took close to 400 pictures on this trip, so there will be many more photos in the days ahead. The only time I didn't take pictures was while we were eating, and everyday, at least one of us would have a cheeseburger for lunch (hence the title of this post) Ironically enough, the only time we actually heard that Jimmy Buffet song was while we were driving home on the Jersey Turnpike! ;)
