Snow day...........................

So we were hit by the big snowstorm and all these kids wanted to do was play outside. I am really not a big fan of the cold weather, but hey, it WAS a snow day.

So, we then start the long process of getting ready to go outside. Snowpants, boots, hats, gloves, coats, chapstick, etc.....it must have taken us 45 minutes to get out the door! It actually took Mark quite awhile to shovel us out, we couldn't even open the front door at first!

Finally, the path is cleared and out we go!

For some reason these crazy kids kept "diving" into the snow! I was freezing just watching them, but they were all having a ball!

After about a total of 15 minutes or so, everyone decided they were too cold to stay outside and in we headed! OK, that worked for me! ;) Then we began the long process of getting out of our wet, snowy clothes...........probably another half hour til everyone was changed into dry clothes.

Now as I sit here hours later, still freezing, I must admit that the time spent getting ready and getting changed afterwards was so worth the smiles on their faces and the giggles that came out of their mouths.

But seriously folks, can anyone tell me how many more days until spring arrives? ;)

So March came in like a lion, huh? We got 15" of the white stuff out by me, the dogs are not having a good time trying to pee! LOL!! Seriously your kids look like they had a blast and it's so worth it to see those smiles, isn't it?

The snow was fun wasn't it, but now I am ready for it to be done. That was the perfect storm to end the winter. BTW--I hit you with a prize dart, check out my blog for details.

oh my, I am so glad to revisit this blog post. I too have to remember "its not about me" when it takes so long to get Nash together to go out in the snow...then for me to dress...then to get out there. THEN I remember its fun!

Here's to spring coming very, very soon! (yeah, its supposed to be 19 degrees in Indiana so that will hit you in about a day or so!)

I know you will think I'm nuts, but I would love to have snow like that. If we get 1" a year, we are lucky and most of the time it's not even 1" at a time!

I'll send you some of our 80 degree weather for some of your snow :-)
