Mackenzie's class was going on a field trip to the pumpkin farm, and since I know this will be my last opportunity to attend a Kindergarten trip, I tagged along. I'm so glad I did because I was able to take some fun pictures of my "baby"!

The above picture reminds me of the new show "Driver Dan's Story Train" which will begin airing on Sprout tomorrow. What's so cool about this new show is that Pat Monahan of the amazing band Train will be voicing the main character - http://www.driverdansstorytrain.com/
We can't wait to watch it!
Yesterday we took a girls only field trip to visit Kelsey's scarecrow which she made with her G*rl Scout troop. It has been on display at a nearby historic landmark, along with 30+ others, so we thought what better way to spend the day than by enjoying a scarecrow walk! It was such a gorgeous day, so we invited Grammy to join us.
This place was unbelievably, breathtakingly, beautiful; between the gardens and the grounds, the fountains and statues, not to mention the mansion or the playhouses..... it was just overwhelmingly awe-inspiring. WOW!
The girls were invited to wear their costumes so Mackenzie opted to be a Chef for the day. Kelsey on the other hand was sticking with her Rose Vampire get up!

(The red object in the center of the above picture is my Mom, putting her best pose on! ;)

I would love to go back there with Ryan and Mark too in the spring when all of the flowers are in bloom, and my children are not dressed in costumes! LOL It was so majestic, and I know we would all have a great time, not to mention get awesome pictures!
On the way home, we decided to stop by the local nursery to pay our yearly visit to Otto the Ghost!

When we got home, we were anxious to share our adventure with our boys, but Ryan was more interested in showing us his new mouthpiece! ;)
Then finally, today Halloween arrived! It's a day I'm not crazy about, but the kids love and have been looking so forward to, so off we went, and fun we had!
Ryan as Woody the Cowboy, Mackenzie the Lady Bug and Kelsey the Rose Vampire!
The little ladybug decided to lead the way-
the terrific threesome wait patiently for treats at neighbors doors
This house cracked me up, because it had lots of scary things on display, but on the other side of the bushes were many religious statues - huh? Isn't that kind of a weird combination ?!
While trick or treating, we were having so much fun, we decided we would walk all the way to Grammy's house (which is almost 2 miles away, we knew it would be a stretch) Halfway there though, Ryan got tuckered out, so we called Grammy to come and pick us up. I snapped this picture because I thought we looked funny waiting for a ride while randomly sitting on the curb.
and then the sarcastic side of me took a closer look and asked myself, is Ryan sitting in the handicapped lane?! LOL I have a very warped sense of humor, please forgive me, but it struck me as somewhat silly!
Anyway, Grammy happily rescued us and brought us back to her house so we could trick or treat there, and say Happy Halloween to Duffy (who just got a haircut!)
We all had a wonderful Halloween and hope you did too! :)
