Ocean City Adventures..............

On Sunday, we headed down to Ocean City, MD for an end of summer vacation. The weather was picture perfect ~ timed right in between the two hurricanes! ;)
This was the view from our balcony ~ simply beautiful!

Here are the kids happy to be at the pool, but poor Daddy never gets a break - he's always got someone hanging on him!

Later that day, we headed down to the boardwalk where they were excited to play on all of the wooden structures ~ so cool!


They even bumped into a familiar face ~

The next day, we decided, would be a beach day! Here's Daddy and the girls enjoying the surf ~

while Ryan caught up with his new friend Brady that he met at the pool the day before ~

(As usual, it reminded me again about how I wish I didn't spend so much time worrying when Ryan was first born if he would ever make "typical" friends - this kid makes friends wherever he goes!)
Meanwhile, I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of my friend Penny and her Madison! (I "met" Penny on a DS message board many years ago, but we have never had the chance to meet before now) What a thrill to finally meet in person!

Ryan and Madison hit it off right away, but for the record, he did inform her that he was "dating" Emma Sage! LOL

Then Mark and Penny's husband Kyle decided to take the kids in the ocean so that Penny and I could get a chance to chat! YAY Men! :)

After a fun day at the beach, it was back up to our place for a pizza party and lots of hugs!


The next day was a split decision, half of us wanted the pool (the kids) and half of us (ok ME!) wanted the beach, so we just did both! The kids even enjoyed using their boogie boards in the kiddie pool! LOL



Then we were off to another wonderful dinner with Penny, Kyle and Maddie ~

On our last day, we decided that we were all waterlogged, so we headed down to the boardwalk again. Our first stop was a game of miniature golf ~

from there, we enjoyed a couple of amusement park rides ~


and then it was onto the games!

One last stop at the photo booths and our journey was complete!


We really had an amazing time, and I look forward to many happy returns - what fun we all had together! Life is good! :)
