Picture Perfect......................

At the start of every summer, I always talk about how I want to spend as much family time as possible, doing as many fun things as we can together. I'm pleased to announce that this past weekend, we did exactly that.

Our Friday began at Ryan's camp show. How delighted he was that Soldier, Woody, Ken and Buzz from Toy Story 3 were all there to host!

I think though that Ryan was most excited when he spotted Grammy in the crowd!
That evening Daddy had 2 tickets to go see ASIA in concert. Since Ryan is a true music lover, not just of kids songs, but also of real rock and roll, I suggested that Daddy take him, instead of me! Ryan was really psyched! Here they are preparing for their big Boys Night out-

They arrived at the venue and had awesome seats!

Ryan was a little disappointed at first when he realized that he wasn't seeing The WHO! LOL But then he had a great time rocking out to the tunes. He even gave me a cellcert during the encore of "Heat Of The Moment" (Wow, did that song bring back memories of High School!;) He and Daddy both had an amazing time! :)

On Saturday, we had plans to spend the day at the beach with our dear friends.
The kids and grownups both set up camp.

The big kids had fun in the water, body surfing and playing in the cool waves -

while the little ones enjoyed each others company building sand castles and sharing cookies!

Then it was back home to our house for a barbeque and a sleepover!
Ryan was so happy to have his buddy James sleep over, he'd been talking about it for weeks!

They stayed up way too late, playing video games, teaching each other karate moves and just being silly, that I was happy to sneak in to take this photo just after midnight! ASLEEP AT LAST! :)

The next day our family hit the pool, with James in tow. Again the bigger ones hung in the big pool playing Marco Polo

while my pipsqueak decided to lay low in the kiddie pool!

Sunday night rolled around way too quickly, but it brought another barbeque and another night with our dear friends. This is the stuff that summer weekends are made of!

Monday morning Ryan and Kelsey headed off to camp for the day, while Mack and I spent our last day alone together. Camp ends on Friday for Ryan and Kelsey, so for the remainder of the summer, my work from home Mondays will be with all 3 of them. And while I look forward to the fun times we will all have, it is also bittersweet. My Mackenzie, my baby, will head off to Kindergarten next month. WOW!

So on this Monday, we decided to go all out. Not only were we making our weekly trip to the park, this time we weren't going alone. We decided to bring her baby!
She carefully strapped her Baby in the car-

and gently walked her to the playground when we got to the park-

Ever so gingerly she climbed up the stairs with her dolly-

She got to the top-

and then proceeded to hurl that poor thing right down the slide! LOL

She also played with her in the tunnel and pushed her on the swing. It was really adorable!

How is it possible that my baby has become this big girl already?!

We still have 4 weeks left of summer, which I'm sure are going to fly by, but you can rest assured that we will be doing our damndest to enjoy the hell out of it! :)
